Weekending!

Hey Pretty People! How was everyone's weekend? Ours was busy, and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Thursday after work, Steven and I hung out on the back porch, we enjoyed a frozen pizza for dinner and some adult beverages. I'm not a big frozen pizza kinda girl, but THIS kind is really good! After dinner we had a little dance party on the back porch in honor of Prince. I am truly sad about his passing, he was an amazing artist!! If anything happens to any members of Journey or Jon Bon Jovi, you can just put me down for the count.....the 80's will be over!
Cornflake was none too thrilled that I was making her participate in the dance party...

Friday afternoon, I left work a little early to head out to Relay For Life. Each year, Cancer Auxiliary has a booth with some type of inflatable and this year we had a slide! By the time it was blown up, we already had a line of little relay-ers who wanted to slide!
I hung out until around 6:30 and then I headed to run a few errands while Steven was out golfing. I am a sucker for a good white t-shirt and Banana Republic is one of my favorite places. Right now at their factory store locations, basic t-shirts are $4.48!! Let me repeat, $4.48!!!! Go get one (or three) you won't be disappointed! :) Once I got home, I performed my Friday night M.O. of falling asleep on the couch before 10:00....

Saturday was busy! The day's first activity was Tea with Mrs. Tichenor. The tea was held at the McDaniel-Tichenor house, where my mom is on the Governor's Court. She hosted a table for the tea and my aunts and I attended! Saturday was my Granny's birthday, she would have been 87!

After the tea, I headed home, drug Steven away from his yard work and we got ready for Matt and Celena's wedding! Their ceremony was at 6 o'clock, so it was beginning to cool down and it was absolutely perfect! Celena looked so pretty and I could tell by the smiles on both of their faces that they were truly happy!

Wedding Dates for life!
We clean up good :)
We enjoyed ourselves at the reception and headed back to my parents to spend the night afterward.

Mom and Dad treated us to a homemade brunch on Sunday morning and we enjoyed coffee on their back porch before going home to tackle some more yard work! Our patio area has come a long way, and most of that is thanks to Steven!!!!! I only spread about 10% of this mulch haha!
We also put the guest room back together. If you follow me on IG, then you'll remember me posting a picture of spray painting lamps. Well I also spray painted the headboard for the bed too!
Everything looks black in the picture, but the headboard is oil rubbed bronze and the lamps are a dark grey color! I've got some plans for the furniture - painting those too haha! - but I first have to get brave enough to do it! Here is a before picture so you can remember what the lamps looked like and no headboard.

I would have to say it was an improvement! We ended our weekend with fajitas and margaritas on the patio! I am looking forward to finishing the patio landscaping so we can have many more great nights out there! And that friends was our weekend!
