What's Hap-"pinning" Wednesday!

Hey y'all! Today I am linking up with Jenn and Jessi (for the first time!) for What's Hap-"pinning" Wednesday!

I shared yesterday that I picked up SIX, FREE Ballard Designs parsons chairs!!! All from a post that I put on Facebook! The reasoning behind the post is that I am actually planning a dining room makeover :) Truth be told, I have never been 100% pleased with our dining room. I love my table, I love the side tables and I (always) love whatever I have on the tabletop, but the room as a whole has never come together.

Currently:
All four chairs are currently "on loan" from "Jackie's Furniture Emporium" AKA my mom's home staging supplies for her business. The table was also from a house that she staged that she no longer wanted, so last year I had it painted black. The picture you see in the background is a Parisian scene that was actually bought in Paris!!! In the early 90's Steven's grandparents took a trip overseas and brought this back. It was a piece that was framed in their house, and when we moved into our house, Steven's mom gave it to us. The chair in the corner is one of two that we have in our house. For several months now I have said that I want to get them re-covered and move them into the living room where we currently have two wicker chairs. But you see......that has not happened haha!

Overall our house is completely pulled together, but now that the wedding is over and I will have more time to devote to our humble abode, I want to make it just right! Sooooooo beginning with these chairs...
All six packed in the back of the Tahoe
...and this inspiration, I hope I can make it come together!
Black table....linen/creme chairs with a black monogram....our fine china set on the table....great rug....luxurious curtains for the two windows....I mean I can see it! I also started a Pinterest board so that I can keep all of my thoughts and design inspirations in one place. CLICK HERE to follow along :)

I am going to do my best and TRY to make this as budget friendly as possible. I am not opposed to spray painting a chandelier that I might find a second hand store, or having a china cabinet painted if I find something we like. The only thing that slightly scares me is ordering rugs online....have you done this before? I am such a touch it-see it-feel it kind of person, that buying something I have never seen before makes me nervous. However, I see deals on Wayfair and Overstock for rugs in the $200-400 range and I think to myself "anywhere else that would be $600-700!". So, if you have any advice for the novice, online furniture shopper, send it my way!
