5 Fall Transition Pieces

Tonight, the low is 57 and I know before long we'll be putting away the patio umbrella and bringing out the fire pit!!! If you're like me, then you love the first few weeks of fall, but if you live where the temperatures don't truly get "fallish" until late October, you wardrobe gets wonky.

Do you like the use of wonky? I couldn't come up with a better adjective because truly that is how I am describing my clothes right now. It is either long sleeves with chino shorts or jeans with a short sleeve top or flowy tank. I can no longer pair the shorts and tank together, but it isn't quite cold enough for jeans AND long sleeves every day.

So with that said, I wanted to share with y'all my top 5 fall transition pieces I am thinking about adding to my wardrobe! And, in bringing you these five pieces, I am linking up with the lovely ladies of Five on Friday!
1) Sam Edelman Slide on Sneakers - I am tried and true SE girl. I'm also a tried and true ballet flats kinda girl, so when I saw these the other day, I gave serious consideration to buying them. I think these would look great paired with a skinny jean and black t-shirt, or a yoga pant with a thermal pull over.

2) Loft Anorak - When it starts getting cool enough for a jacket, I reach for one thing, my North Face Denali jacket. And while I love it, it isn't very stylish. I am love the style of the this jacket in the traditional army green, but I feel like this crimson/persimmon color gives it a fresh feel. Not to mention, you could carry this color into March and be totally fine once winter is over!

3) There is a Georgia boutique chain called Dress Up - The Athens grand opening is tomorrow!!!!! - and they have a large online presence. My friend Holly introduced me to DU last year and I've been hooked ever since. I enjoy a good dress, but I feel like with fall/winter dresses you've either got a sweater dress or long sleeved sheath. I think this would be precious paired with booties and a floppy hat! Perfect for a brunch or drinks on a patio!

4)  I could wrap up in this hoodie! It comes in three colors and since it is made by Splendid, you know it is soft!

5) Y'all, I could live in these pants. Granted I don't own this particular pair, but I have a similar pair from Banana Republic and they are the bees knees!!!! Stylish yet you feel like you've gotten on pajamas! Several years ago, I saw this picture of Kim Kardashian, and while I am not a fan of hers, I want to re-create THIS OUTFIT, but with these green Forever 21 pants! THIS is a great look too.

I'm currently sucking on my fourth halls cough drop and are getting ready for my second shot of emergen-c. Feeling pretty sickly around these parts and we've got guests coming tomorrow and a couples shower tomorrow night! Not to mention, I'll be breathing my sick germs in the makeup artist's face, as my first trial is tomorrow. Y'all wish my immune system luck! It needs it :)
