Weekend Rewind

Hey pretty people! How was everyone's weekend?? Ours was good and filled with some delicious food! I'm sad to see Monday come, but hopefully this upcoming weekend will be just as good :)

Friday evening we headed to a local restaurant to listen to a guy play that we're thinking about asking play our cocktail hour at the wedding. Naturally it was super crowded being a Friday night but we made the best of it and snagged a few seats at the bar.

Can you guess who's beer is who's? Hahaha! I always carry a koozie in my purse ( and I wine opener in my car ) you can never be too prepared ;)

After the restaurant we came home and had a small fire in our fire pit. Unfortunately, the app we had at the restaurant made us both sick and we did not get out of the bed until noon on Saturday. So much for painting the doors this weekend...

Saturday afternoon we tried to perfect one of the seven deadly sins.... sloth. But around 4 o'clock we had had enough and ventured to TJ Maxx and Publix. While Steven was getting the grill ready,  I scoured the internet for bmaids dresses. Steven's sister recommended Alfred Sung as she had worn that brand before. I narrowed the search down from that brand to these three dresses, what are your thoughts?

I am thinking that I like the second and third dress the best, but I love the neckline of the first. Ah decisions, decisions.

I pinned this Six Sisters salmon recipe on Pinterest recently because it looks sooooo good! While we grilled the salmon, I cooked the vegetables like the recipe called for and it was perfection! We highly recommend it.
Cornflake has us wrapped around her little finger. We let her in the house and she ruled the roost!

Sunday morning we tried out a different church. We have been going to the Methodist church were my parents go, and this is the church where we'll be having our ceremony. We talked a lot about it and we want to explore other churches, to see what fits us best. It is not that we don't love the Methodist church, we just don't want to decide to go there just because that is where my parents go... More to come on the church exploration later in the week!

After church we headed to a catering tasting. Oh my gosh...
It was BY FAR the best food we have tasted! We definitely enjoyed this part of the wedding planning! This Friday we have our first cake tasting too! Bring on the fun stuff :)

Yesterday afternoon Steven was working in the yard and one of our neighbors came over to say hello. While chatting with him, we found out that the previous tenant who lived in our house left Cornflake because he couldn't take her with him :( But come to find out our neighbor thinks that she might be preggo right now with kittens....oh boy. We're not looking forward to becoming grandparents! Our neighbors kids love her and call her Garfield, so we don't think that we'll be able to fully claim her as ours, but we agreed to get her spade as soon as she has her kittens!

Our weekend ended with us rearranging the office and watching a movie. We're obviously super exciting haha! I printed out a 14 day trial pass for one of the local gyms to see if I like it. The thought of going back to the gym threw me into a tizzy so I ate cherry pie and ice cream for dessert!

Here's to having a good week!

  1. I REALLY love the first dress and the 3rd one is pretty, too. They both look like they would look really nice on a variety of shapes and sizes. The 2nd choice is pretty, although, it may not look great on everyone. I tried on a dress that was like choice 2 for my cousin's wedding and although it looked great in the bridal store, it fit me terribly. I am a smaller size but I do have a kind of a large bust and the dress was not forgiving in that area at all. Our wedding planning seems to be coming together well...I'm excited to find out what kinds of food y'all choose : )
