February Goals

February, the month of LOVE!!! Also the month for me to knock the following off my list:

1) Hang master bedroom and guest bedroom curtains
2) Join a local gym
3) Save $166
4) Find placemats and napkins for dining room table
5) Carve out more quite time for myself and the Lord
 6) Plan a date night away from home
7) Buy myself something un-house, un-wedding related

- We've got four curtain panels just laying on the guest bed. Time for them to go on the wall!

- I plan on running the Peachtree again this year, along with a few 5K's so it is time to get this body moving again!

- We're currently taking recommendations for our honeymoon. We are looking to spend around $5,000 and will be going in January or February of 2016. You might be scratching your head as to why $166, well that amount is how much each of us need to put back each month so that we are not "financing" aka starting our marriage in debt, having put our honeymoon on credit cards. We're thinking somewhere tropical, so send me ideas!

- Our dining room is quickly becoming my favorite room in our house and I want for the table top to feel "complete". So I am going to be on the hunt this month for a nice, coordinating placemat, charger and napkin combo!

- This one is easy, I want to grow my relationship with the Lord.

- While being at home is wonderful, I'm wanting to get out of the house and do something fun with the Mister! He threw out going to Chateau Elan and I threw out going to see Yacht Rock in Atlanta. Who knows we might do both :)

- Now you might be thinking that this one sounds kinda selfish, and honestly it is. I want to walk into Target, or any other store for that matter and buy something just for me. Whether it be a top, a bowl, some shoes, new makeup...just something! I have bought myself one thing in 2015, new Ralph Lauren pj's, but I can't really wear those out of the house haha.

And that folks is everything I want to try and accomplish in the next 25 days! Wish me luck!

  2. Good for y'all for not financing your honeymoon! It will feel so good when you get home from it and don't have to think about paying for it then! We went to a Zoetry resort called Paraiso de la Bonita in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It's a "boutique" resort, meaning pretty small. Definitely more of a laid back kind of feeling, rather than a party atmosphere. The food was AMAZING.

  3. Yay! Finally an update! LOL It is totally understood.
We went to Cancun, Mexico and stayed at The Beloved Hotel in Playa Mujeres. It is also a "botique" resort so it was pretty small and away from the Cancun hotel zone where all the partying happens. And honestly, after our 11 months of wedding planning and the last 4 months of on-the-go get-everything-ready mode it was the perfect vacation/start to our marriage.
There are a lot of activities to do in Cancun that can be arranged with the concierge with transportation to and from the resort so you worry about nothing. It was amazing!
I hear St. Lucia is pretty sweet too.
