Weekend Rewind

Hey Pretty People! I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Our weekend "started" on Thursday evening, we headed to the Georgia Theatre Rooftop for the first AACA social of the year! AACA is a ladies only volunteer organization, but we never miss the opportunity to hang out with each other and our spouses!

On Friday we had our catering tasting! It was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed myself, but I think Steven enjoyed it even more. He was still talking about it to our friends on Saturday night :)
Our tasting was for four people, so my parents joined us! By the end, my mom and I "edited" the menu some and my dad was to the point of "you can have whatever you want" haha! Unfortunately in the picture above, I didn't get to actually get to taste the steak, damn red meat allergy.

We did our Friday night tradition....sit outside, grill and not eat dinner until 9 o'clock. I can't tell y'all why, but for some reason on Fridays we always end up eating late. A customer of ours gave me some fresh peaches and I attempted to make a peach cobbler....
pre-bake
....apparently having "self rising" flour is crucial. I now know the difference in between White Lilly flour with the black label and green label. It was still good, but not the same!

Saturday afternoon we headed to Carrollton to see my best friend and her hubby. They recently bought a new house so it was exciting to get to see that and get to hang out. We headed out to dinner and afterward we went to see Yacht Rock!! Carrollton has a great outdoor amphitheater, so we grabbed our chairs (and cooler!) and headed to the show. They didn't perform for quite as long as we would have liked for them too, but irregardless we had a great time!

After we got home on Sunday, Steven headed out to shoot guns (yes we shoot guns) with a friend and I spent all afternoon on the internet. The iPad, me, Cornflake and the CSI Miami bingeathon hung out together in the bed and it was GREAT! I can't remember the last time I just got to veg out and scour the internet. I ALMOST caved and bought myself a gently used Alma Louis Vuitton, but I resisted the urge. I did find jewelry for my bridesmaids, both of my garters and my flower girl baskets! So I would say the afternoon spent in the bed was a success haha!

I am not looking forward to getting back to the daily grind, but I am looking forward to celebrating our one year anniversary this weekend! This Sunday will be one year to the day that Steven asked me to not date anyone else. It is cheesy but true....after that weekend, the rest is history!

  1. What a great weekend!! The catering tasting sounds so good, but dang girl! A red meat allergy?! What a pain!
I miss shooting with Eric! We haven't gone shooting together since Mia was just a few months old. We need to get a babysitter and plan a date asap to go shooting together!
