You never know

Valentines fell on a Friday last year.

There were flowers waiting for me from my sweet daddy at my desk.

I was freshly single.

There was an earthquake that night.

I celebrated love day with some of my single girlfriends.

We had strawberry wine slushies, we talked about Tinder and life and how sometimes men are just downright awful but then at the same time, we just can't live without 'em!

When everyone left my house that night I was happy. Sure I spent valentines alone, but I wasn't alone. My girlfriends were probably wrestling with the same thoughts that I was when I went to bed..."damn I hate being single, but tonight was fun".

Fast forward 365 days.

We have a day-date planned for tomorrow. I haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to wrap his gift. I mean how do you wrap funny zombie and golf game targets? Steven bought himself a pellet gun a few weeks back. We've got aaaaaaa lllllloooooottttt of squirrels around our house. Did I say a lot? Because I mean a lot. Please don't call PETA on us haha!

I am looking forward to spending the day with my love. If you had asked me this time last year if I thought that I would be engaged and getting married in nine months, I would have laughed at you. My married friends always said "you never know", and they were right.
I cannot wait to marry Steven. Even typing out the words nine months makes our wedding date seem further away. The time will fly by and November will be here before we know it.

Don't let being single on Valentines day get you down.

You never know you will meet.
You never know who's path you will cross again.
You never know who might bump into you at the grocery store tomorrow!

'Cause trust me.....you never know :)

  2. Saying you never know is so much easier then truly believing it... I mean I know some people fear dying & such but what I fear the most is never finding my other half or having kids with them.. That truly scares me & I hate it! But I am so so happy for you sweet girl :)
